AES has become a collaborating partner in the South of North network. The network consists of 12 nordic architecturalpractices working with development abroad.
During 2013 and 2014 we have met on several occasions, in all nordic countries for joint seminars and workshops to gain knowledge, share experiences and reflections on development issues. Parts of the seminars have been open to the public in venues such as architectural museums and exhibition venues to expose our work and learnt lessons, with the aim to include perspectives on sociology into the field of architecture. “Niubasaga Nimataka” project has been presented at the Architecture museum in Helsinki, at the NTNU in Trondheim and FFAR in Stockholm.
The seminars and workshops have resulted in a joint exhibition at Helsinki Design Week.
